Can prayers bring rains? Can 'yagam' help seed clouds with rain? At least this is what officials of Souther Power Distribution Company strongly agree. So for the last few days, 35 veda pandits from Rajahmundry in black robes are hard at work, sitting in front of holy fires, pouring ghee. The employees have raised money for these ceremonies. The 'yagam' at Tirupati hopes to bring rains and overcome the power shortage to farmers and other consumers. Also hear the SPDL co chairman Vidyasagar 'explain' the need for the 'yagam'.
