Continuous rains have triggered landslides in four places in Iritty, Kannur. Meanwhile Pazhassi dam has overtopped as the shutters of the dam could not be opened, submerging around 120 shops in the nearby areas. Schools in the area remain closed as the district collector has declared holiday for schools in the rain-affected areas. Transportation in the area has come to a complete halt.
