Description:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh addresses the media before heading in to the Parliament for the Monsoon Session. Calling for an end to the Parliament paralysis, the Prime Minister requested the opposition not to stall proceedings and stated that the government is open to discussions. The BJP-led opposition is all set to corner the government on numerous issues, including the violence in Assam. The government is looking to get at least 31 key reforms bills passed in this session. However, with the precariously-poised allies on one hand and the non-cooperative opposition on the other, this monsoon session is expected to be a stormy one.
