Description:
In what is being seen as an attempt to woo voters for the upcoming national elections, the UPA has announced the distribution of 60 lakh mobile phones in rural areas. The government justifies the move saying that it helps to increase connectivity, but the Opposition is still unimpressed. The BJP has slammed the new scheme, claiming that there is a greater need for food, infrastructure and other resources than the distribution of mobile phones. BJP Leader Balbir Punj goes to the extent of saying that this distribution of mobile phones will only make room for greater scams.
