Description:
The CAG report declares a probable loss of 2.5 lakh crore due to bad policy, impropriety and lack of transparency in the coal block allocation. This report, which was tabled in Parliament yesterday, has led to a major political war. While the BJP questions the delay in introduction of the auction route for allocation of coal blocks to private companies, the Congress has hit right back by questioning the NDA for not adopting the auction process from 1998 to 2004 when they were in power.
