Description:
BJP Spokesperson Prakash Javadekar has hit out at the UPA government over its reaction on the CAG report, saying that the PMO cannot question the CAG for its observations. While the Minister of State in the Prime Minister's office, Narayanasamy, downplayed the situation stating the need for a PAC review of the report; the Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal questioned the very findings of the CAG report. The report brought forward by the Comptroller and Auditor General points to a possible loss of 2.5 lakh crore due to bad policies, ineffective implementation and lack of transparency in the UPA's coal block allocation. The BJP has called this a murderous loot of the public exchequer.
