A day after Union Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay admitted that he lobbied for his brother with the PMO for coal block allocation, the opposition is gunning for the Tourism Minister. The BJP is demanding the immediate resignation of Subodh Singh Sahay for his misdemeanor and lack of propriety in office. The Union Minister has denied allegations of any wrongdoing or nepotism in the allocation of coal blocks. However, the Minister was forced to admit that the company SKS Ispat, which he recommended to the Prime Minister, had his brother Sudheer Kumar Sahay as one of the honorary directors. Addressing a press conference on Friday, the Union Minister failed put up a convincing defense, stating only that the the blocks had already been allocated when he wrote the letter to the Prime Minister's office.
