Description:
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held protests and demonstrations across the country to oppose the government's decision on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the retail sector. But surprisingly, it was the BJP who laid the foundation of FDI in retail ten years ago during the NDA regime. On May 12, 2002, BJP submitted a proposal recommending a 100 percent FDI in the retail sector.
