Shirdi Sai Baba Aarti is a devotional show live from Shirdi, currently airing on TV1. Listen to beautiful aartis sung by devout devotees in praise of Sai Baba, live from the temple in Shirdi. The aarti's take place four times a day, Kakad aarti in the morning, Madhyanam aarti in the afternoon, Dhoop aarti in the evening and Shej aarti at night. Each of the aarti's is unique and is a mix of Marathi and Sanskrit shlokas, written by devotees themselves. Sai Baba was known as a guru, yogi, and a saint. No one knows where and when he was born, his real name, nor anything about his family. He is believed to be both a Hindu and a Muslim, and is considered an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. The name 'Sai' was given to him upon his arrival at Shirdi by a priest, Mahalspati. Sai Baba mainly preached about self-realization, forgiveness, being and doing good, inner peace, and about the importance of guru in one's life.
