'Rama Kadha Manjari' is a Malayalam spiritual show aired on JAIHIND TV. The show focusses on the epic Ramayana and features recitals from the holy text. 'Karkkidaka Masam', also known as 'Ramayana Masam' (July – August) is the last month in Malayalam calendar, where the epic Ramayanam is read at home and temple during the month. The reading of the epic begins on the first day of the month and will be completed on the last day of the month. The monsoon is at its peak during the 'Karkkidakam' month. And, to ward off nature's fury, the grandparents, parents and children, after lighting the evening lamp sit before 'nilavilakku' (traditional Kerala lamp) and read the 'Adhyatma Ramaynam Kilippattu' written by Thunchath Ramanujan Ezhuthachan.
