Veda Chanting is a spiritual show on Sankara TV, which is aired every morning at 5.15 AM. Veda Chanting refers to the oral recitation of Sanskrit hymns from the Vedas, the ancient scriptures of Hinduism. The Vedas are chanted in syllabic style – one note per syllable, by separating each syllable of the scripture. It offers a distinct enunciation which emphasizes the grammatical accents of the Sanskrit texts. The four Vedas (Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atharva) need to be chanted with innumerable nuances and fine intonations, which when not pronounced properly, will lose its essence.
