St Stephen’s College, Delhi honoured 50 of its most distinguished alumni on December 15, 2012 at its campus. The college's Alumni Foundation, for the first time, instituted CF Andrews Distinguished Alumnus Awards to recognise exemplary accomplishments of the college alumni as part of the annual reunion. Some of the prominent awardees included former Chief Election Commissioner SY Quraishi, Minister of State for HRD Shashi Tharoor, The Pioneer Editor-in-Chief and Rajya Sabha member Chandan Mitra, author Amitav Ghosh; former Union Minister Arun Shourie, Secretary in Agriculture Ministry Ashish Bahuguna; Minister for Law and Justice Ashwani Kumar, Cabinet Secretary Ajit Kumar Seth, Barkha Dutt, Group Editor, NDTV and Sagarika Ghose, senior editor, CNN-IBN.
